The SafePal is a relatively new entrant to the hardware wallet scene, and it’s certainly a unique one. Backed by the likes of Binance Labs, Trust Wallet, and the Litecoin Foundation, the SafePal is an affordable and portable cold storage option.
The device is reminiscent of an MP3 player. The D-pad below its color screen is used to navigate the various menus, and a camera is used to scan QR codes when signing transactions. It has no wired connection (other than that used to charge the battery and to receive updates).
The SafePal is almost air-gapped – after updates, its only communication with the outside world is via the information displayed on the screen.
Since the device is almost never plugged into an internet-connected machine, many attack vectors are eliminated. KeepKey is a hardware wallet made by ShapeShift cryptocurrency trading platform. Their mobile app does not have really good reviews on stores but the ShapeShift announced the moving toward decentralized exchange (DEX) which will make trading faster and easier—without KYC for it’s users.

One of the main innovations of the Keepkey is its native integration with web-based trading platform ShapeShift. It’s worth noting that while the KeepKey has the deepest integration with ShapeShift, you can still use it with other wallet software.
The initial setup is straightforward and easy to follow. Throughout our testing, we’ve had some issues with pairing the device with ShapeShift. The device kept dropping the connection, but a few restarts solved the issue.
While the native integration with ShapeShift is a significant feature of the KeepKey, it has its downsides. If you’d like to buy or exchange assets on Shapeshift, you’ll need to create an account and do KYC verification. However, if you only wish to send and receive cryptocurrencies, you only need to create an account with an email address. If you don’t want to create a Shapeshift account at all, you can either use the KeepKey Client browser extension for some basic functionality or other crypto wallet software.

Ledger Nano S is the first generation of the Ledger hardware wallets. Released in 2016.
It also uses OS BOLOS very secure operating system and supports same number of of blockchain cryptocurrencies and tokens – 37 coins and 1000+ tokens.

Trezor One was the first hardware wallet back to 2011. It also supports Windows, Mac, Linux and Android devices, but not iOS (neither does Trezor Model T). It has the built-128×64 pixel OLED display.
The touchscreen of the Model T is more accessible than the two push buttons of the Trezor One which also enable whole recovery process directly via the touchscreen which provides the user with the higher security than Trezor One. Archos is a french company producing number of products including air purifiers and tablet PC’s.
The French company has released a line of hardware wallets Archos Safe T Touch and Safe-T Mini, which store the private key offline and perform all transactions locally to ensure the security of crypto assets.
